Timmy Time Themed Birthday Party
My little boy was obsessed with Cbeebies' Timmy Time, so as he was approaching his second birthday we felt a Timmy Time party would be right up his street.
The great thing about Timmy is that even if your child is not into the TV programme, most kids love farm animals!
Initially, you might think to have a farm-themed party at a nearby farm, but for a young age group it is so much easier to hold it at home and it can certainly be as much fun having the celebration without the real animals.
Creating a farm-themed party can be quite enjoyable as you can use lots of colours and the decorations can consist of basic household items to create a rustic, casual look.
I started looking into branded party wear that were available and also researching local suppliers for items to support the celebration.

The Timmy Time party elements included:
- Invitation
- Party tent
- Cake
- Styling
- Food ideas
- Party bags
- and MORE
The invitations were a creation of the talented Yorkshire-based Phylecia, specialising in bespoke letterpress stationery.
The tent was themed with hay bales, large cardboard cut-outs and rustic jugs.
Inside, the theme followed through, using a Timmy Time table covers and plates.
I printed some Timmy faces on card and glued them to small white paper pompoms which were then hanging off the chandelier.
The ‘Fruit Shoot My 5’ bottles got re-branded using Timmy Time design.
The incredible cake making specialist 'Bun Bunny' crafted the cake with the characters which were so detailed. My little boy was slightly upset when we first cut the cake but he soon settled when we offered him a slice!
In terms of entertainment, we booked a bouncy castle and stocked up the tent with lots of toys to suit all ages (0-4yrs). Tip: book one with a ‘roof’ in case of rain.
I wanted to ensure some memories were recorded, so created a ‘photo booth’ with a great backdrop area for the children (and for grown-ups too!).

The party food was kept very simple offering ham sandwiches and fresh fruit and veg crudities.
For a second birthday party, most parents usually stay for the whole duration so we also catered for adults.
I threw together some hand-made party-bags out of Hessian fabric and personalised each with the initial of the child. The party bags included Timmy Time pocket books, crayons, play-doh, a little treat and a lovely windmill.
I am now wondering what to do for his 3rd birthday. His current favourites are Raa Raa the Noisy Lion, Zingzillas and Enji Benji but who knows what it will be in a few months time? Teenage Mutant Ninja? Star Wars? Lego? Or perhaps Minions?? Or the cute Paddington Bear? I will certainly let you know ;-)
